Delhi University Joint Admission Test know as DU JAT is conducted every year in the month of June/July for admission in BBA & BBS programmes. There are 6 Delhi University college which offers BMS and 8 Delhi University college which offers BBA and BE (Business Economics) to take admission in these colleges a common test is conducted known as DU JAT.

DU JAT ELIGIBILITY

  • Candidate should have cleared Senior Secondary School Examination or any another equivalent examination from any recognized board or institution.
  • Marks criteria for candidate is General: 60% in class 12th, SC/ST/CW/PwD: 55% in class 12th. This score is aggregate of 4 subjects-English, Mathematics and other two subjects that are approved by Delhi University.
  • Candidate should have to pass in all four subjects mentioned above individually.
  • Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PwD/CW should carry category certificate.
  • Marksheet of qualifying exams with confirmed result should be carried at the time of GD (Group Discussion) & PI (Personnel Interview).

DU JAT EXAM PATTERN

  • Exam is conducted online.
  • Duration of exam is 2hrs.
  • Total marks for correct answer is 3 and negative marking is 1 for wrong answer.
  • There are total 120 Multiple choice type questions divide into 4 parts.

Most of the questions in this section are from Current Affairs and business related and few questions are related to Sports, Culture & International affairs.

Quantitative Aptitude
This section had few tough questions. The section had questions from higher mathematics, like Set theory, Relations and Functions, Calculus, Co-ordinate geometry, Vectors, Inequality etc. A good score here would be between 40 and 45 out of total score of 100. Level of difficulty can be rated as moderate to tough.

General English
Majority of questions were based on Vocabulary. There were questions on synonyms, word meanings and idioms, Para-jumbles.  There was one Reading comprehension passage on Economics, Maps and Models. The RC passage was followed by 4 questions. Spelling, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks (single), Idioms and Grammar were other prominent topics on which questions were asked. The grammar questions included fill in the blanks based on tenses and prepositions. A good score here would be between 50 and 55 out of total score of 100.
